The evolution of ChatGPT (CGPT) and its relationship to AI.

Because the public reaction to CGPT is a preamble and proxy for the whole phenomenon of artificial intelligence (AI). CGPT is only the tip of the iceberg represented by the AI phenomenon and is a tool that immediately found recognition through its disruptive effects on the traditional way of thinking and working.

CGPT represents a disruptor and a cornerstone of the AI paradigm that appears to have marked an unprecedented and irreversible leap in the development of human society.

Since its official appearance on November 30, 2022, CGPT has managed to be rapidly adopted by users, reaching the first million users within the first 5 days of its launch. It is almost the fastest success, for example :

Instagram reached the first million users after 2.5 months,

Spotify after 5 months,

Facebook after 10 months,

Twitter after 2 years and 

Netflix in 3.5 years.

The second, premium and more powerful version was released on March 14, 2023, less than 4 months after the CGPT premiere. There are currently approximately 100 million users, and the site recorded approximately 1.6 billion visits in June 2023.

However, we will not confuse CGPT with AI but as we stated earlier, studying and knowing the rise and success of CGPT is nothing but an indirect study of the rise of the AI phenomenon.

This is also the reason why great scientists and promoters of new technologies are already issuing warnings about the mutations that AI will produce and the negative phenomena associated with it.
